Markel background check documents

Please select the appropriate section and follow the instructions to complete the Markel background check documents.

At this point in the recruiting process, you have been asked to complete a Markel employment application. Please return the application and acknowledgement back to the requester as soon as possible. If you are selected as one of the top candidates, Markel will notify you and will start our background check. Please be sure to only list professional references that can be contacted immediately.

Step 1: Complete the application and type your name on the signature line. Save the document, and return via email to the requester.

Step 2: Complete the notice and acknowledgement of background check, download, print, and sign (original signature required), scan, and return via email to the requester.

Background check information: The following documents contain a legal explanation of your consumer rights and should be reviewed. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a law that protects the privacy and accuracy of the information in your credit report. The FCRA spells out your rights as a job applicant and an employer’s responsibilities when using credit reports and other background information to assess your application.

Step 2: Complete the notice and acknowledgement of background check, download, print, and sign (original signature required), scan, and return via email to the requester.

Step 3: Review the contractor information packet, print and sign the last page (original signature required), scan, and return via email to the requester.
