Below are some frequently asked questions related to Markel's annual brunch gathering in Omaha on May 7, 2017.
Question: How long does the meeting last?
Answer: The actual meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. There is no set end time for the meeting but it usually runs until approximately 12:00 – 12:30 p.m., depending on the amount of questions.
Question: Do you have to be a stockholder to come to the meeting?
Question: Can I bring guest(s) to the meeting?
Answer: Yes, we just ask that you make sure you register all guests on the 2017 Markel Brunch site so we have an accurate count of who is attending.
Question: What is the location of the meeting?
Answer: It is at the Omaha Hilton Hotel; 1001 Cass Street; Omaha, NE – in the ballroom.
Question: Do I have to bring anything to show in order to get into the meeting?
Answer: No. Tickets are sent automatically when you RSVP but are not required for entry.
Question: Will there be annual reports available at the meeting?
Answer: Yes but limited amount of hard copies will be available at the meeting. Once they are all gone, we will not have access to any more. However, you can always find an electronic version of our most recent annual report on our investor relations page.
Question: Is there an age limit for attendance to this meeting?
Answer: There is not a particular age limit to attend this meeting but we do suggest that small children not attend.
